What is the difference between a collaborative space and a shared record?
In Psylio, there are several ways to collaborate with your colleagues. While they all allow you to share information, they serve different purposes.
Collaborative spaces
A collaborative space is a secure environment designed to centralize exchanges around a student or client, without providing access to their full clinical record.
- Main use: Share observations, coordinate actions, and exchange documents between practitioners.
- Confidentiality: Ideal for collaborating with colleagues from different disciplines who do not need access to official service notes.
- Access management: The space is not shared by default. The creator must invite members or teams, and each member can then invite other collaborators.

A collaborative space should not be used for official service recordkeeping.
Shared records
The shared record corresponds to the client or student's complete service record. It includes the history of interventions, progress notes, and added documents.
- Main use: Document follow-ups and ensure comprehensive clinical follow-up.
- Ownership: The record is the responsibility of a member of the organization. By default, only that person has access.
- Access management: Only the responsible person, or a member with full access, can modify sharing permissions.
- Permission levels: Unlike the collaborative space, three access levels can be given: read, write, and full access.
