How does record sharing work?
Sharing a record you created with a colleague:
- Open the record you own.
- Go to the Share tab.
- Click Add and select the collaborators you want to share the record with.
- Choose the type of access you want to grant and click Save.

Types of access available:
- Read-only: Lets the collaborator view all information in the record.
- Reading and writing: Allows the collaborator to view, add progress notes, documents, and invoices.
- Approval: Enables interns and doctoral students to share their records with their supervisor, who can co-sign each progress note. Both signatures will appear at the bottom of the note.
Only the record owner can print all progress notes and the roadmap. Advisors with whom the record is shared can only print their own notes. If a record you don’t own is shared with you:
- Open the record and go to the Share tab to see the type of access you have.
- You can view the access but cannot change it.
