When an email sent from Psylio cannot be delivered, a notification shows you which email address is affected and why the delivery failed. A warning also appears in any records associated with that address.
Why might an email not be delivered?
An email may not be delivered for several reasons, including:
- An error in the email address
- An email address that no longer exists
- A full or temporarily unavailable inbox
- The recipient’s email service blocking the message
Some organizations, particularly schools, may block emails from external senders. This means the email address may be valid even if the message cannot be delivered.
What should I do if an email wasn’t delivered?
Check with your client to make sure the email address is correct and still in use.
- If the address is incorrect, update it in the profile before sending the email again.
- If the address is correct, ask your client to check their spam or junk folder.
- If a warning icon still appears next to the address after the issue has been resolved, contact Psylio support.
The warning icon means that Psylio has stopped sending emails to this address because of a delivery issue. Our team can investigate the issue and reactivate the address.
The email wasn’t received, but no warning appears
If Psylio does not report a delivery issue, ask the recipient to:
- Confirm that the email address is correct.
- Check their spam or junk folder.
- Check whether their email service blocks messages from psylio.com.

Psylio cannot detect every situation in which an email is not received. For example, an email may be accepted by the recipient’s email server but still not appear in their inbox.
