When I download my records, how do I remove the special characters from the files in .csv format?
You may sometimes notice illegible characters when you open .csv files after exporting your records.
If you use an Apple operating system, here is how to proceed to make these characters legible:
First of all, the exported file will be in .csv format, downloaded to your computer desktop. Open Microsoft Excel, click on File, then Import. Select the CSV file option.
In the File origin, select Unicode UTF-8 and Delimited to delimit the characters (see image below):
Next, select Semicolon as the delimiter (see image below):
The file should now be legible!
