How do I secure my account with multi-factor authentication (MFA)?

What is multi-factor authentication?

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is a security method that requires more than one form of identification to verify a user’s identity. Its goal is to enhance account and data protection by adding an extra layer of security.

Typically, authentication relies on a single factor, usually a password. However, these can be vulnerable to hacking and cyber attacks. MFA adds additional factors to the identification process to significantly reduce the risks.

How does it work?

Psylio offers you the option to enable multi-factor authentication, which protects your account by using two secure validations. When you sign in to your account, you will be asked to enter your password, followed by the code displayed on your authentication app.

How do I enable this feature?

  1. Access the My account tab to locate the activation button at the bottom for the page.

  2. Next, follow the instructions that will guide you through the installation.

After verification, a list of single-use backup codes will appear. These codes will allow you to sign in to your account if you don't have access to your authentication app. We recommend that you do not save them on your phone, but keep them in a place where you can easily find them.

Please note: If you sign in with Mozaïk-Portail, you will not need to enable multi-factor authentication, as Mozaïk-Portail already offers this feature.
