How do I secure my account with multi-factor authentication (MFA)?

What is multi-factor authentication?

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a security method that requires more than one form of identification to verify a user's identity. It adds an extra layer of protection to accounts and data.

Typically, authentication relies only on a password, which can be vulnerable to cyberattacks. MFA strengthens security by adding extra verification steps to the login process, significantly reducing risks.

How does it work?

Psylio allows you to enable MFA to secure your account. When logging in, you will need to:
  1. Enter your usual password.
  2. Input the code generated by your authentication app.

How to enable MFA:

  1. Access Your Settings
    1. Click the icon in the bottom left corner of the platform, then open My account.
    2. Scroll down to the Two-Step verification section.
    3. Click Activation procedure and confirm your password.

  2. Install an Authentication App
    1. Download Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator
  3. Add Your Account to the App
    1. Scan the QR code displayed on the platform
      OR
    2. Enter the secret key manually
  4. Enter the verification code
    1. The app will generate a one-time temporary code. Enter this code in the designated field on the platform.
Notes
Once the setup is complete, a list of one-time backup codes will appear. These codes allow you to access your account if you can't use your authentication app. For security reasons, do not save them on your phone. Store them in a safe and easily accessible place.

If you use Mozaïk-Portail to log in, you don’t need to enable MFA, as this feature is already built into the portal.
