How do calendar colours work?

The colours in your Psylio calendar help you quickly identify your appointments, distinguish between your services, and view the confirmation status of appointments.

Service colours

You can assign a colour to each of your services to personalize your calendar and make different appointment types easier to distinguish. When you create an appointment and select a service, the selected colour is automatically applied to the appointment in the calendar.

Appointment status

Appointments confirmed by your client appear with a filled colour so they can be identified quickly in the calendar. Unconfirmed appointments appear with a coloured outline and a white background.

Unavailability periods

Unavailability periods appear in gray to help distinguish them from appointments.

Appointments cancelled by the client remain visible in the calendar, but appear crossed out.

Configure service colours

To personalize your service colours:
  1. Go to Settings > Calendar > Services.
  2. Add a new service or edit an existing one.
  3. Check Available in calendar.
  4. Select the desired colour for the service.


When adding an appointment in the calendar, choose a service from the dropdown menu. The colour will automatically be applied to the appointment.

Idea
The service list is shared between the calendar settings and the finance settings. Changes made in one section are automatically applied to the other.

Appointment confirmation

Clients can confirm or cancel their appointments only if this option is enabled.
  1. Unconfirmed appointments: The appointment appears in the calendar with a coloured outline and a white background.
  2. Confirmed appointments: When a client confirms their appointment from the automatic reminder, the appointment appears filled with the configured colour.
If this option is not enabled, appointments cannot be confirmed or cancelled. In that case, all appointments will always appear with a filled colour.

Enable the confirmation or cancellation option

  1. Go to Settings > Calendar > Client communications.
  2. Check the box Enable the confirmation or cancellation option in appointment reminders.
