How can I invite members using a CSV file?
As an administrator, you can invite multiple members to your Psylio organization by importing a CSV file. Here’s how to prepare and upload your file.
Check Your Subscription
The number of members you can invite depends on your subscription:
- Free Trial: You can invite unlimited members, but your team is limited to 5 client files total.
- Paid Subscription: You can only invite as many members as you have available seats.
- Before importing, make sure you have enough seats. If you exceed your limit, extra members will not be added.
Create Your CSV File
Your CSV file must contain two columns:
- Email address
- Role(s): practitioner, administrator, or coordinator
Separate the two columns with a semicolon (;) If a member has multiple roles, separate them with a comma (,) — no spaces.
Examples:
- vt@example.com;administrator
- jm@example.com;practitioner,coordinator
- ml@example.com;administrator,practitioner

Make sure that roles are spelled exactly as shown, without capital letters or extra spaces, and that email addresses are valid.
Option 1 — Microsoft Excel
- Open Excel
- Enter email addresses in column A and roles in column B
- Click File > Save As
- Choose CSV UTF-8 (semicolon-delimited) as the format
- Save the file
Option 2 — Apple Numbers
- Open Numbers
- Create two columns: email address and roles
- Click File > Export To > CSV
- Save the exported file

Google Sheets is not recommended, as it uses commas by default instead of semicolons. This may prevent Psylio from reading your file correctly.
Import the File into Psylio
- Go to Organization settings > Members
- Click Invite member
- Under Import a CSV file, click Upload
- Select your CSV file
- Confirm that the emails display correctly
- Click Send invitation
Troubleshooting Checklist
If your file doesn’t import correctly, double-check the following:
- Columns are separated by semicolons (;)
- Roles are lowercase, spelled correctly, separated by commas without spaces
- All email addresses are valid
- The number of members does not exceed your available seats
